black pants, white top, can’t go wrong
think about the question before you answer it and practice with a friend or relative before you go so ur ready.
smile and listen maybe even learn a little about sears incase it comes up
When in doubt, dress formal. I went to an interview at a Korean consulat for a job in Korea and I wore a suit. They apporved me in a minute, while another guy showed up in a bathing suit and tank top and was quickly rejected. You’d be surprised how just dressing formally has such a huge impact. For Sears, dressing well will give you a huge advantage.
Always dress that is they asked you to start today you wouldn’t have to go home and change.
Clean comfortable shoes, pressed slacks, dark polo shirt, make sure your fingernails are clean too.
Freshly cleaned and pressed slacks, dress shirt, a sweater or jacket. Comfortable but clean shoes - not sneakers.
Make sure you look neat. The first impression is the most important. Be ready to tell them why you want to work at Sears and what you have to offer them as to work ethics. Do not ask about wages or vacations but you can ask about benefit packages…Make that last. They will tell you about wages.
Remember Sears sells suits. Gotta figure if they sell it, can’t go wrong with wearing it!
Good luck on your interview.
And then I realize your female… oops! Well something nice and formal will do.
Wear a nice shirt and at the minimum cackies if not something nicer. As for the interview just stay calm and just talk to them. The worst question I find they ask is why do you want the job? And I always tell them I want to save up to go back to school. Basically just tell them something that most people approve of, and something that sounds like you’re going to be there for long term. Even simply to pay rent and bills works.
Have some skills you have in mind too. Once in a while they will ask for a weakness too. Remember to thank them for their time after the interview as well.
Honestly, wear something nice, but not too nice. Remember it’s an interview for Sears, not Saks 5th Avenue. You are good with details & don’t like to make mistakes. You never get upset about anything. If someone asks you a question that you don’t know the answer to, you’ll find it out for them. If you have a weak point, it’s that you have been accused of being too much of a perfectionist. All you want to do right now is have a job & maybe think about career opportunities in the future. You’ve been in the military & so you are familiar with doing what is required & with discipline & a good work ethic. Your main goal at first would be just to do what your supervisor tells you to do.
Good luck.
Dress as nice as you would for any other interview. I work for Sears and when I applied there were other people there in jeans and t’s, some even showing their belly button piercings. I couldn’t believe how unprofessional they looked, but some even got the job. First appearancess should and do count. When you do interview, make sure you show how ‘customer focused’ you are. Sears motto is ‘Commitment to Care’ and thats what they are looking for in potential employees. Good luck with your interview!
hey how about you get a modelling job for a change? Somebody told me about and I couldn’t believe when I found out that they accept even if you got no experience nor superb looks. Age is not even a factor because alot of products need models from infants to oldies.
Well if modelling ain’t your type then you could opt to become a movie extra earning easy thousand bucks per day.
