I applied today at both sears and target and I really want to know how long it takes to get called back for an interview. I really need a job. Also, how much is the starting wage as a cashier for sears and target. If you’ve worked there how was your experience? Thanks.

Applying on the busiest shopping day of the year is not a strategy I would have tried. You will be lucky if they even know where your application is by Monday. Go back next week during a slow time, explain how you realize you were stupid, and ask them if you should fill out another application in case the first one got lost. Then follow up in 7-10 days with a phone call to a manager.
Unless you are applying for a higher position that is not seasonal, I would not expect a call back at all. As far as I know, most stores filled their seasonal capacity weeks ago. Filling out a new application will not help. Target does not do paper applications except special circumstances, and the computer won’t let you do another. Call them Monday and ask for someone in HR and ask them whether they are hiring and whether you can expect a call back for anything. If not, probably around Feb or March they will start hiring again.
